March

This month, I'm looking forward to dancing with my husband in our kitchen, baking Greg a birthday cake, sleeping at a hotel and cuddling with Thomas.

Valentine's Day Contest

Dear Lovely Readers,
For fun, our sweet Thomas Walter, has entered into a Valentine's Day photo contest with a local boutique -- Bellies and Bundles. We'd love it if you'd click here, and 'like' our photo. The photo with the most 'likes' wins a gift basket!
Thank you,
Katie and Greg and Thomas xo

How do you organize your Pinterest account? I categorize my finds by the sense (sight, touch, smell, taste, sound) that finds the image most appealing. I'd love it if you checked out my pins! xo
P.S. Here are some of my favourite pinners:

February

Looking forward, I hope this month brings snow angels (and snow days!), homemade pizza dinners, freshly cut straight bangs and a good book to devour.

St. John's

This is where we call home. See what I mean about remote, windswept, frosty and exotic? Photograph by Sally LeDrew (our amazing wedding photographer!).

Looking forward, I hope this month brings walks in the snow, lots of Fiat sightings (such cute cars!), red finger nails and a trip to Post Espresso.
This post is the first in a 12 part series that will run on the first day of each month in 2012 -- images of my hopes and plans for the month ahead.

Matching

I love wearing matching outfits (coats in particular) with Greg. It makes me feel all couple-y. So... naturally I love these photos from Honestly WTF.

Vegetables

Carolee Beckham is about a week ahead of me in her pregnancy, which means this photo series (where she includes a photo of herself and a fruit/vegetable that is the same size as her baby each week to document the growth) has been particularly interesting for me to follow. Right now, our baby is a Chinese cabbage, is about 14.8" long and weighs approximately 2.25 lbs! Believe me, I'm feeling every bit of those 2.25 lbs in our little man's kicks (which are becoming more frequent and stronger).

Corner Stores

In finding the perfect photos for my mummering post, I came across the most fantastic series of photos of small-scale commercial life in Newfoundland and Labrador - a collection of our convenience stores. Erected to sell milk and bread to neighbourhood patrons, to exchange allowance for candies and chocolates with school-aged children, and to create an alternative location for the purchase of beer (yes, you can buy beer in NL at a convenience store), these everyday haunts have a certain beauty, and Bojan has captured them fantastically. I've included some of his works that are in our neighbourhood.Dec 13, 2010
Rainbow

Why NOT get one in every colour? I think one of these photos, blown up, would be beautiful in a dressing room. Via Style Bubble.
